“I love hair as a material with which I can express shape, texture, colour… it carries spiritual and cultural energy. Hairwear is my project about hair that can be worn but not only on the head.
I see hair as part of the wardrobe. You change it according to your mood and purpose. It can also change how you look, or even disguise you.
Some of my favourite wardrobe pieces are from my mum’s vintage wear. Their unique colours and patterns are hardly found in today’s fashion. This series is a result of my nostalgia and longing for those vintage tones and stylish motifs.”
