“Memphis was born from the desire to experiment and create something new with the recycled resources I had available at home. This series was inspired by the post-modernist Memphis movement created in Milan during the 1980s, focusing on the work of Ettore Sottsass “glass”, a series of sculptures made up of several elements that speak of a living world, as much as of a world imagined.

With this in mind I tried to capture the same feeling with this collection; a more conceptual approach to the idea of creating looks made of simple wefts put together on an androgynous form; hair of a variety of different colours, shapes and transparencies has given me a vast freedom in the creation of this collection using unexpected balances, combinations and contrasts in every single image.”
