CULT HAIR: Capturing London’s unique and diverse hairstyles

Photography: Panos Damaskinidis
Art Direction: Nathan Dytor

Name: Bashir Aziz Age: 22 I would describe my hair style as: Unique, undyed (luckily) and learning to love it! What my hair means to me: Part of my identity, I used to be shy of it… but it’s a major part of who I am My hair icon is: Mamadou Sakho, Liverpool/Crystal Palace player, he changes his hair every month The style I’ve always wanted but never had: I’ve always wanted to braid my hair but throughout my childhood I kept it short My favourite era for hair is: Salt-N-Pepa era, looking back, everyone looks open to new ideas and funky stuff I get my hair done at: My barber in Mitcham. He keeps my hair consistent… can never cheat on him ha!
